Alastair Majury on Dunblane Sees Anti-Social Behaviour Operation
On Wednesday the 25th of April and Thursday the 26th of April the Royals area of Dunblane will see a joint operation comprising of the Police, Stirling Council Housing Officers, Council Safer Communities Officers, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service tackling ongoing anti-social behaviour issues in the local area.
The ongoing issues in this part of Dunblane has been discussed regularly at the Dunblane Community Councillor, with all local councillors receiving a number of enquiries from impacted residents.
The operation will see residents being provided with packs in relation to Anti-Social Behaviour and contact numbers for agencies who can deal with this, they also be performing a questionnaire with residents to ascertain the issues which they consider to be the main problems in relation to Anti-Social Behaviour and the results of this will be collated and disseminated to the relevant agencies who can then handle this.
Local Conservative Councillors Alastair Majury and Douglas Dodds have met with housing officers, and will support efforts from the local residents to setup a tennants association.
Local Conservative Councillor Douglas Dodds said:
“The anti-social behaviour and low-level crimes that Dunblane is facing shows the importance of having a strong and visible community policing presence in all areas.”
Local Conservative Councillor Alastair Majury added:
“Whilst I am pleased to see this joint action take place, it is unacceptable that residents have had to put with the situation for so long. Cllr Dodds and myself are meeting with officers this week in order to understand what can be done to prevent a repeat of this situation.”
