B8033 Upgrade Works

A summary of what is proposed and what roads will be closed is as follows:

Phase 1 — Claredon Place (Marks and Spencer) roundabout

The closures will be phased, with Phase 1 being the resurfacing of the Roundabout at Claredon Place. This closure shall be in place for Sunday 25th Aug into Monday morning and shall be as follows:

The B8033 shall remain open at Fourways Roundabout, with access to Beech Road, Millrow and the High Street being maintained.

There shall be no access beyond Beech Road for traffic heading south bound to facilitate the resurfacing works. Note Residents within John R Gray Road shall be allowed access via Claredon Place over this period and Traffic Management Operatives shall be on site to guide residents to their properties over this period. The works will commence when Marks and Spencer’s close. M&S Staff working after the shop closes will be permitted to leave under escort to ensure their safe passage.

Springfield Terrace shall remain open for north bound traffic only, again providing access to Beech Road, Millrow and the High Street. There shall be no access South Bound with vehicles following the diversion route south.

The B8033 north bound shall be closed from Keir Roundabout with access being maintained for residents with properties on the closed section of dual carriageway. Access to John R Gray Road should follow diversions as previously stated. It is anticipated that the roundabout will be completed and reopened to traffic for the morning rush hour.

Phase 2 : B8033 Southbound Lane at South Lodge ( Commencing on Monday evening, 26th August onwards.)

On completion of the resurfacing of the roundabout at Phase 1 [Claredon Place] there shall be no obstruction on the B8033 from Fourways Roundabout to Claredon Place Roundabout. However, there shall be no access beyond Claredon Place Roundabout on the B8033 South Bound until the works on the South Bound carriageway are complete. The roundabout at Claredon Place shall remain open allowing residential access to John R Gray Road for the remainder of the works.

The B8033 North Bound from Keir Roundabout shall be open as usual to all traffic for the remainder of the works.

The works are part of Alastair Majury on ROADS MODERNISATION & INVESTMENT PROGRAMME 2019/20 for Dunblane & Bridge of Allan (£640,385)
