North Parapet Selection Made
You may have seen in today’s Stirling Observer (Wednesday 17th April) that the Dunblane Community Council in their role as statutory consultee for Dunblane, have made their decision on our behalf of what NetworkRail will repaint the North Parapet in.
Whilst I am glad that the council were flexible and confirmed on 5th April 2019 that the leaf motif became a valid option for the community to select from, I am disappointed that the Community Council didn’t allow the wider community a say in which option we would like the North Parapet to have been painted in. And also that they ignored the feedback on their original choice of Moss Grey in Leaf Motif and kept that as their first preference.

On Sunday 7th April, the Dunblane Community Council confirmed to Stirling Council that their first choice was 15. Leaf motif on Moss Grey and that their second preference was 10. Leaf motif on Light Ivory.

Regardless of what your personal preference is, do you think that the Dunblane Community Council should have used “recognised consultative mechanisms” in order to have secured “greater involvement by all sectors of the community” before providing their choice to Stirling Council?
Which of the below options would you have picked?
I would be keen to know your thoughts, and I am sure that the Stirling Observer would also be keen to know your thoughts via a “Letter to the Editor” — john.rowbotham@reachplc.comCo
