Senior Business Analyst Alastair Majury on Basic Video Editing

I’ve been using iMove on MacOs for some basic video editing for a few years now, which is a NLE, that is a Non-Linear Editor. But I have reached a stage where the limitations are holding me back. The natural next step would be to move to Final Cut Pro but whereas iMove is free, Final Cut Pro is around £300.
I’ve opted for a significantly cheaper option but that has meant moving the editing from my MacBook to my iPad Pro and using LumaFusion along with it’s much cheaper access to StoryBlocks.
My first video is now also available here:
And my second video created on the same day available here:
What do you think?
I’ve found LumaFusion quite straightforward to pick up after moving from iMovie but I have just scratched the surface of the extra features and possibilities that it will allow me to do!
For ease of reading some of my testimonials are below:
“Alastair built up a strong rapport as links between the Business and IT Developers. He certainly hit the ground running.
His appreciation of the whole picture from Business, Business Unit and Technical perspectives is exactly what was needed for the complex set of tasks, together with his ability to communicate with all parties at the appropriate level be it by phone, in meetings or by email. His emails are without fail, professional and clearly articulated, always answering everything raised and always managing expectations.
Although brief, it was good working with you and I have to say that your professional and reliable ways will be sorely missed. Thank you for leaving everything in the best possible state for our teams going forward.”
